How I Adjusted To The “Fall Back” Time Change

In November, the time adjusted an hour back. This left me with mixed feelings actually. I was excited about receiving an additional hour of sleep, which is much needed in my already busy schedule. But I also thought about how dark it will quickly get in the evening. See, the sun is a good friend of mine and I was sad to see him leave early everyday. I was determined to figure out a way to get through the fall back time adjustment. With some trial and error, I learned that these adjustments helped me get through it and they are still working for me now.

Oil Diffuser

I use my diffuser every day with my favorite mixtures of essential oils. Since the time change, I find myself creating oil blends that improved my overall mood and made me cheerful. I created blends that include lemongrass, lavender, peppermint oil, and jasmine oils. If you have never used a diffuser before, I would recommend starting with one blend at a time and you will learn what scents you are drawn to. I purchased this diffuser, which also comes with a colorful light setting that you can choose from.

My Purple Crown.

My Natural Hair Regimen: Winter 2016 – 17

Back to the basics! I decided to color my hair back to dark brown and get ready for a healthy natural hair journey this winter. I adjusted my regimen to grow healthy hair. Check out the adjustments:

Oiling My Scalp

Oiling my scalp is necessary in the winter. My scalp is so dry! I will use a light oil to give myself daily scalp massages to keep my scalp moisturized and to promote blood circulation. This can promote healthy hair growth. It also relaxes me from a long day and I notice my stress levels reduce after my scalp massages.
